Jack Browning is a 26-year-old artist and musician hailing from London (UK), but takes inspiration from all over Europe and the United States. A sucker for folk, blues, rock and country music, Jack divides his time between the recording studio, the art studio, and touring the UK, Europe and the US. He has played shows with Willi Carlisle, Asleep At The Wheel, Henry Wagons, Uncle Lucius, The White Buffalo and many more at iconic venues like Nashville’s The Underdog, London’s OMEARA and The Grace, Muziekgebouw and TivoliVredenburg in the Netherlands and Red Barn Radio in Kentucky.

Browning’s musical journey has taken him far and wide, across the UK and Europe and on to the United States, all thanks to his early band life, touring and playing with the likes of Jeff Beck, Joss Stone, and Gregory Porter during his late teens. With that musicianship experience money can’t buy and drawing inspiration from iconic alt-country musicians like Neil Young, Tom Petty, Tom Waits, and Bruce Springsteen, as well as folk legends like Townes Van Zandt and John Prine, his commitment to preserving the tradition of great songwriting while infusing it with his unique perspective has garnered him a devoted following. 

He has played with Willi Carlisle, Asleep At The Wheel, Henry Wagons, Todd Day Wait, The White Buffalo, Uncle Lucius and Stephen Wilson Jr and more, and has already performed at Red Rooster Festival (UK), Black Deer Festival (UK) and Little Sandy Shakedown (US) in 2024, with headline shows in London, Cardiff, the Netherlands, Kentucky and West Virginia.

Red Eye Radio, released in September 2023, is a remarkable collection of original handpicked songs. These songs delve into the themes of life on the road, labouring as a construction worker, grappling with mental health, and the innate human desire to explore and wander. The album serves as a personal introspection to Browning, weaving together a rich tapestry of warm emotions and life experiences.

Browning collaborated closely with renowned producer Dan Lucas and a pool of talented musicians, including Rick Kent, Patrick Lyons, Wiza Kaluba, Brant Tilds, Wes Brook, and Crosby Cofod. The result is a cohesive record with a narrative thread running through each track. All thanks to Browning’s leadership and talented songwriting ear.

“Dog Tired” beats along gently, like a night train through the mid-west. Along the journey, Browning’s vocals entwine seamlessly with the pedal steel and harmonica to create an intimate back-and-forth dance with lyrics portraying the artist’s life as a construction worker. The song’s lyrics will resonate with anyone listening who has felt the exhaustion of trying to pursue their passion after a hard day’s work.

“The Family Guns” is a two-part masterpiece that draws inspiration from composers like Ennio Morricone, Western-style film, and modern mariachi soundscape veterans Calexico. Even hinting at Joey Burns-style vocals. When the second half hits, the song transforms into a captivating murder ballad, complete with mariachi trumpet and Pat Lyons’ lyrical steel guitar.

Jack’s first studio release since his record, ‘High Hopes’ dropped on July 26 2024 and was met with immediate acclaim from his peers, and publications like Holler, Whiskey Riff, Country Chord and NikkiInNashville, coming soon after beginning a collaboration with renowned agency, Midnight Mango.

Through July and August 2024, Jack toured for the first time in the US, performing 15 shows across Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio, West Virginia and Indiana at venues including Little Sandy Shakedown, Southgate House Revival, Red Barn Radio and The Underdog.
